Genie Backup Manager stores the jobs on the default drive even if you chose to install the software on the secondary drive
The jobs are saved in the following path by default:
X:\Documents and Settings\%UserName%\Application Data\Genie-soft\GBMAPPLICATION\Jobs
RESOLUTION:
- Go to Start> Run> Type “regedit”
- Go to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Genie-Soft\GBM%PRODUCT%8\Main; where %PRODUCT% is Home, Pro, or Server
- Double click the following value and change it to 1: AppDataPathType
- Double click “AppDataPath” and in the value, place the new path, without Genie-soft, GBMAPPLICATION, and Jobs folder as GBM will automatically create them,
For example the new folder location is:
D:\Catalogs
When GBM opens, the catalogs will be created in
D:\Catalogs\Genie-soft\GBMAPPLICATION\Jobs
- Open GBM so the path can be created
- If you have old jobs, move them from X:\Documents and Settings\%UserName%\Application Data\Genie-soft\GBMAPPLICATION\Jobs to %USERDEFINEDPATH%\Genie-Soft\GBMAPPLICATION\Jobs where %USERDEFINEDPATH% is the path entered in the AppDataPath value.
Applies to:
GBM 8
