1.	Q: Can I install your software on more than one computer?

	A: You will need a separate license for each machine installation. Our software license agreement for a single user license allows the use of the registered program on only ONE computer. If you wish to install on more than one machine, you may purchase at Volume Discounts or contact Sales at sales@genie-soft.com

2.	Q: I lost my serial number. Where can I find it?

	A: Serial number locator form

3.	Q: Can GBM backup hidden network shares?

	A: Yes, using manual file/folder selection, you can manually place the path to your hidden network files.

4.	Q: I have a REV Drive I want to backup to. Can GBM read my removable REV media?

	A: Yes, GBM is now enhanced to read and backup to REV drives including performing format and eject actions.

5.	Q: I can see a list of all my installed plugins; but most of them are dimmed. Why can I not select them for backup?

	A: If the plugin installed on your system does not support the version for your application or if the application for the plugin is not installed; the plugin will be dimmed.

6.	Q: Can Genie Backup Manager backup locked and Open Files?

	A:Genie Backup Manager is fully integrated with open file backup with the utilization of Microsoft’s Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) so it will backup open and locked files

7.	Q: Can I backup my whole system and restore completely without having to reinstall everything?

Genie Backup Manager can make migration from Windows XP or Vista to Windows 7 very easy. Just follow these steps:

Select Backup> create a job and select your data from My Profile*, My Folders, and My Plugins to any location, Local/LAN, removable media, CD/DVD, and even remote locations like FTP and Genie Online
Install Windows 7 and your programs
Restore your backup!

Genie Backup Manager will:

Restore your Desktop, Documents, playlists, favorites, Windows Contacts and Windows, program settings to the correct location, even if the location is different in Windows 7.
It will automatically create a new Outlook profile, restore email, calendar, settings without the need to reconfigure anything
If My Folders drive letters changed, users have the option to restore to alternative locations, as well as original, or select single folder option
Move GBM’s and Genie Timeline’s jobs configuration and catalogs

*Backing up the entire registry and Windows Settings to restore to Windows 7 is not recommended
